VeggieWorld 2017 Launches as Vegan Food Sales up 1,500%
Veganism is set to become one of the key food trends for 2017, with vegan food sales up by 1,500% in the past year . And a major new international flagship vegan event is set to tap into this demand – VeggieWorld London.
The VeggieWorld is coming to the UK for the first time in April 2017. VeggieWorld London takes place on Saturday 8th April and Sunday 9th April 2017 at Kensington Town Hall, West London and is set to be the key international vegan event of the year in the UK.VeggieWorld is Europe’s largest and oldest event of its kind – a place to discover high-quality vegan products, and discover creative, extraordinary and high-class innovations from all parts of daily vegan life.
The UK’s vegan scene is impressive with over half a million vegans and well over 400 companies dedicated to producing vegan goods. VeggieWorld London invites everyone to join them on an international quest to connect with, share, celebrate and raise awareness of a plant-based lifestyle.
VeggieWorld London appeals to a fast growing section of society – not just the half a million vegans in the UK or the million more vegetarians, but also the huge number of meat reducers (almost a third of the population), flexitarians, people who are lactose and dairy intolerant, others who simply enjoy vegan food from time to time, and the vegan-curious.
This major London event will include around 70 vegan stalls selling a mouth-watering range of food, makeup, beauty products, fashion and more from around the world. There will also be a food court offering an exciting choice of vegan caterers, plus talks on vegan nutrition and lifestyle, as well as some inspiring cookery demos from leading vegan chefs. Both days will feature a full programme of speakers covering health and nutrition, sport, campaigning, politics, journalism and, of course, the vegan lifestyle. Plus there will be around 15 talks over the weekend plus cookery demos.
In addition, the event will host a charity marketplace, where visitors can find and discuss opportunities to volunteer, intern or work within the sector.
VeggieWorld is the oldest and largest exhibition of the vegan lifestyle in Europe, attracting national and international exhibitors from across Europe, and on average 8,000 visitors at each of their events. These successful series of fairs take place each year in several cities in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Switzerland. And 2017 will be the year that the UK becomes part of this major international community.
Admission to VeggieWorld London is by advance tickets, available on-line from January 2017, priced £8 for adults and £6 concessions, or on the door – £10 for adults, £8 concessions. Entry is free for children up to the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult. Visit veggieworld.de/en/event/london-en for more information.
